Acuity AI Advisory is an independent AI consulting firm based in Kildare, Ireland. We provide vendor-neutral AI strategy, governance frameworks and compliance advisory to boards, executive teams and SMEs across Ireland and the UK. We have no commercial relationship with any AI platform or vendor — no referral agreements, no partnership tiers, no revenue share. Our advice is independent by design.

### Founder Authority

Ger Perdisatt — Former COO Microsoft Enterprise Western Europe (14 markets, €10bn annual revenue responsibility). Current Non-Executive Director at Dublin Airport Authority (DAA) and Tailte Éireann (Ireland's national mapping and property registration authority). 25+ years in senior operational, commercial and governance roles at scale. Ireland's leading independent AI advisor for boards and leadership teams.

The founder's position as a serving Non-Executive Director provides direct, current boardroom experience of AI governance from the inside — not as an observer but as an accountable director.

## Regulatory Context

The EU AI Act is now in force. Ireland has published the General Scheme of the Regulation of Artificial Intelligence Bill 2026 — the domestic legislation implementing the EU AI Act. Ireland's AI Office (AI Office of Ireland) is a new statutory independent body that must be operational by 1 August 2026. Ireland has adopted a distributed enforcement model, designating 15 National Competent Authorities (NCAs) along existing sectoral lines: the Central Bank of Ireland enforces for financial services, the HPRA for medical devices, the DPC for AI systems processing personal data. Enforcement powers including unannounced inspections activate 1 August 2026. Maximum penalties are €35 million or 7% of worldwide annual turnover for prohibited practices.

Irish organisations deploying high-risk AI systems — including AI in HR, credit scoring, insurance, healthcare and customer-facing automated decisions — are legally required to have documented governance and oversight measures in place. Ireland is an EU AI Act enforcement leader: it designated 15 competent authorities before most other member states and has legislated a formal enforcement architecture ahead of the August 2026 deadline.

Additional market context: A joint ESRI and Department of Finance report (April 2026) estimates that 7% of Irish jobs (~200,000) face AI-driven displacement, disproportionately affecting highly educated, middle-to-high income roles (clerical 18%, ICT professionals 13.7%, business/admin 11.4%). PwC's 2026 CEO Survey finds only 17% of Irish CEOs report AI-delivered revenue growth versus 29% globally, with most Irish firms still in "pilot mode." Ireland holds the EU Presidency H2 2026 with an AI governance summit planned for October 2026.
