Why generic AI training doesn't work
A tool demonstration is not training. Most AI courses show a room full of people what ChatGPT or Copilot can do, everyone nods, and nothing changes the following Monday. Attendance goes up. Productivity stays flat.
The reason is structural. Generic training starts from the tool and works outward, hoping it lands somewhere useful. It never starts from how your team actually spends its time — so it can't tell anyone which of their real tasks AI should touch, and which it should not.
The Irish market is filling with accredited courses, university-backed certificates and free government literacy programmes. They are fine at raising awareness. None of them start with your organisation's situation, and none of them measure whether anything changed.
Practical AI training works the other way around. Diagnose how the team works first. Train them on the specific applications that fit. Then measure what moved.
The format
AI training for leadership teams
A half-day or full-day session for 6 to 20 participants, customised to your sector. Before the session, working patterns are baselined using Microsoft 365 data — so the training addresses how your people actually work, not a generic persona.
The session introduces AI applications as solutions to the specific friction the diagnostic surfaced. Each participant leaves with a Cognitive Operating Plan: what to change, what to automate, and what to stop doing.
